Summary
The coarse-pored silica gel impregnated with lead acetate is put into a glass reaction tube. When the gas sample passes through the silica gel layer, hydrogen sulfide reacts with lead acetate to form black lead sulfide, so that a certain length of dyeing layer appears on the silica gel layer. The volume of silica gel determines the amount of hydrogen sulfide passing through the reaction tube, and then according to the measured sample volume, the hydrogen sulfide content in the sample can be calculated.
