Product Description:S7 tool steel is a versatile shock-resistant tool steel that combines high impact toughness with moderate wear resistance.
It is primarily used for tools that are subjected to high impact, thermal cycling, and sudden loading.
S7 is an air-hardening steel with excellent dimensional stability during heat treatment. It maintains good hardness and toughness even under severe working conditions, making it ideal for both cold work and certain hot work applications.
The material is supplied in annealed condition and can be hardened up to HRC 54–56 depending on final heat treatment.

Good thermal shock resistance for intermittent heating
High machinability in annealed condition
Can be nitrided or surface treated for improved wear resistance
