Product DescriptionMould type polyester gelcoat. It gives good high hardness, good toughness, corrosion resistant, weather proof. high luster
It is recommended for the manufacture of FRP mould.
It is suitable for hand lay up or spraying.

Note:
1) The method of preparing the cast is performed according to ISO5893;
2) Curing system:1.5% Cobalt isooctanoate (0.6%), 1.5% AKZO M-50;
3) Post-cure:room temperature×24h+60ºC×3h+110ºC×2h.
Storage:
To ensure stability and maintain optimum performance, the gel coat should be stored under 25 ºC in a sealed manner and away from heat sources, such as direct sunlight or steam pipes. It should be stored separately from oxidizing substances, peroxides and metal salts.Application Notes:
1) Choose the appropriate color gelcoat model according to product needs and application environment.
2) Mix the gelcoat in bucket gently before use, avoid excessive high shear rates and avoid air entrapment during mixing.
3) Ideal application temperature should be between 18-25°C and humidity less then 80%. Mold should be polished and clean before gelcoat application.
4) The curing agent used for gelcoat is MEKP(the dosage is generally 1-3%). If the amount of the curing agent is too high or too low, the water resistance and weather resistance of the product will be reduced.
5) Total gelcoat film thickness should be between 600-800μm. It is recommended to apply 100-150μm in the first pass and wait for 2 minutes before application of following layers.
6) Obtain total gelcoat thickness in 2-4 layers with 700-800 g/m2 gelcoat. Check gelcoat thickness with gelcoat thickness gauge.
7) Correct application pressure for spray type gelcoats and film thickness is very important to prevent sagging of wet gelcoat film.
8) Minimum 2 maximum of 4 layers of gelcoat application is recommended for Brush type gelcoats.
9) Check gelcoat cure degree before starting lamination layers. Press your finger for 30 seconds on gelcoat film to check cure degree. When you do not see gelcoat residue on your finger but gelcoat to remain sticky on the film, you can continue with lamination layers.
