20-39-25 Tilt Switch
For material flow, blockage and level detection
When a vertically suspended tilt switch is acted upon by an external force and deviates from the vertical position by more than 15 degrees, the mercury contacts inside the switch are actuated and the normally closed contacts open. When the external force is withdrawn, the tilt switch returns to the vertical position and the mercury contacts close again. The change of contact opening and closing inside the tilt switch is used to judge the working condition of the protection equipment and take timely measures to achieve the purpose of safety protection.
Features:
Tilt switch can be used alone with probe or with control device
Alarm output time is adjustable, with 0-10 seconds adjustable delay line in the control device, which can avoid the tilt switch from instantaneous tilting caused by false operation.
Normal/alarm position can be set, there is a jumper in the control device, which can set the switch vertical or tilt state as normal state.

The control unit is a printed circuit board structure and all probes are equipped with mounting accessories.

The control unit has an adjustable time delay from 0 to 10 seconds to avoid malfunctioning of the tilt switch probe due to momentary tilting.
Vertical or tilt is selected as the normal state in the control unit by a jumper.
Two normally open and closed contacts are used for external alarm or control.

Mounting Tube
The Model 20-38 control unit is housed in a NEMA 4X box with front panel indicator lights, green for "normal" and red for "alarm", and an adjustable time-delay circuit in the control unit from 0 to 10 seconds. An adjustable 0-1O second time delay circuit in the control unit allows the tilt switch to avoid false operation caused by momentary tilting. An internal jumper allows the switch to be set to "normal" for either vertical or tilted conditions. Two normally open and two normally closed output contacts are provided for external alarm and control connections. There are a variety of probe assemblies for a wide range of materials and environments, as well as controls without housings for fixing in other forms of enclosures and control cabinets.
