Color-coated aluminum foil is an aluminum foil product whose surface has been painted or coated. The performance of aluminum foil is very stable, and the paint can be used for several years without fading. Color-coated aluminum foil has the characteristics of water resistance, steam resistance, light resistance, taste resistance, corrosion resistance, heat resistance, low temperature resistance, etc., and is not easily affected by the environment and temperature. Therefore, it is often used in food, medicine, beverages, cosmetics, spices, etc. to prevent items from absorbing moisture, oxidation, volatilization and deterioration.
When aluminum foil is placed in the air, a dense oxide layer forms on the surface. If the oxide layer is not dirty, the ink will have good adhesion to it. In order to improve the adhesion between the ink and the aluminum foil surface, corrosion cleaning must be performed before printing. Coating treatment eliminates lubricant contamination and enhances the adhesion between ink and aluminum foil surface.
When performing color printing, since the aluminum foil paper itself has color, in order to ensure the correct restoration of the ink hue, the background color must be printed before printing, and the background color is usually white ink.
Color-coated printed aluminum foil commonly uses 1000, 3000, and 8000 series alloy numbers, including 1100, 1070, 3003, 3004, 8011, 8021, 8079 and other alloy numbers.
