1, Construction and Materials
Bracket: Heavy duty caster brackets are usually made of metal materials as the main body, such as ordinary steel plate stamping, cast steel forming, die forged steel forming, etc., mainly assembled in a flat plate manner. The commonly used specifications for steel plate thickness are 8mm, 10mm, 16mm, and 20mm or more. Some heavy-duty casters even use 30mm thick steel plates.
Runway: Heavy duty casters typically use double-layer steel ball runways, which are stamped and heat-treated to enhance their load-bearing capacity.
Bearings: For extra heavy universal wheels, the rotating plate generally uses flat ball bearings or flat needle roller bearings with greater force, matched with cone bearings to improve load capacity. Some special impact resistant heavy-duty universal wheels use forged steel to shape the rotating plate, avoiding the welding of connecting plate bolts and improving the impact resistance of the casters.
Wheels: Heavy duty casters generally use single wheels with hard tread, such as nylon wheels, cast iron wheels, forged steel wheels, hard rubber wheels, polyurethane wheels, and phenolic resin wheels. Among them, forged steel wheels and polyurethane wheels are particularly suitable for heavy-duty casters.
