Disc chipper is a kind of special wood chipper. It is widely used to make high quality wood chips for Paper pulp industry, Fiberboard (MDF HDF) , Particleboard, Chipboard and so on.
Working Principle:
Disc wood chipper consists of knife disc, body frame, electric motor or diesel engine, control cabinet, etc.
There are knives fixed on the knife disc. The knife disc are drove to rotate on high speed.
The wood logs will meet the rotating knives when they are feed into the chipper and then they become perfect wood chips of uniform size.
*** To produce good wood chips, the knives are fixed on the disc by special and strict angle and distance.

Raw Material To Process:
Disc wood chipper mostly work with wood logs and tree branches. It can also process bamboo and other long wood materials. However, disc wood chipper can't work well when small or very short materials are feed in.

Disc Wood Chipper Outlet System:
Several types of outlet system to meet different running condition of disc wood chipper. For light duty disc chipper, the wood chips always blow out from machine. Knife Disc:
Knife disc is the major important parts of the disc chipper. It consists of disc, knives, knife clamp and shaft. Knife quantity is range from 3 pcs to 10 pcs for different model. With professional designation and strictly machining on the knife disc, the chipper will output good wood chips of perfect shape and uniform size.
Wood Chips Size:
The wood chips made by disc wood chipper is not on fixed size. Chips size could be adjusted as different use.
For example, the chips for paper pulp is normally designed to be 20-35mm. For some special use, the chips could be designed to smaller or bigger.
Control System:
All the running section of the wood chipper is controlled by one control panel.
The control panel is equipped with infeed, outlet, emergency stop control buttons, etc. All the control panel have motor protection function.
For security, there is remote controlling solution for choice. It is a effective solution to protect the wood chipper operators.
