Log splitter is a kind of special equipment in the wood chip making industry. It can split the tree stump, large branches, wood logs to become smaller size to meet the requirements of the feeding size of the wood chipper. Log splitting machine can also split those raw materials to small pieces for other use such as boiler fuel,family stove use and so on.

Working principle:
Log splitter is mainly composed of worktable, splitting knife, hydraulic oil cylinder, hydraulic pushing plate, oil tank, motor and oil pump, control system, etc.
In the working state, the splitting knife and working table of the log splitter bear huge thrust. Therefore, for safety reasons, the splitting knife is made of extremely high-quality alloy steel material with high hardness. The splitting knife is strongly welded onto the base of log splitter. A thick steel plate is welded on the back of the splitting knife to support it. Under the working table plate, large amount of reinforcing ribs are welded inside to prevent the working table from being damaged by strong thrust.

Raw material to process:

Splitting type:
For different use, several types of splitting for choice. The wood materials can be splitted by 1/2, 1/4 or 1/6 to meet the different requirements of wood material dimensions.

Splitting knife
Splitting knife is the most important parts of the log splitter. There are different shapes of knife to make different size of wood pieces. Splitting knife is made of special alloy steel material with high hardness. It is strongly welded onto the base of log splitter. And for safety running, thick steel plate is welded on the back of the splitting knife to avoid being broken.
Mobile type of log splitter:
All models of log splitter could be designed to towable mobile type. It is equipped with diesel engine, easy moving towable chassis, high quality tires. The towable mobile log splitter is best solution for outdoor working.
