P20 mold steel is a widely used pre-hardened tool steel for plastic injection molds and mold bases. It offers good machinability, stable hardness (HRC 28–32), and consistent performance in medium to large-sized mold structures.
Unlike hot-working or high-alloy steels, P20 strikes a perfect balance between toughness, polishability, and cutting efficiency, making it ideal for molds that require moderate durability and excellent surface finish.
Our P20 steel is precision milled, ultrasonic tested, and stocked in flat and block forms, ready to be cut to size upon request. We support small batch orders and custom dimensions.
