Product Introduction
Saybolt color refers to the value of the height of the liquid column when it is closest to one of the three standard color plates when it is observed and compared through the sample liquid column and the standard color plate. Saybolt color number is specified as: -16 (darkest) ~ +30 (lightest). Adjust the height of the liquid column of the sample according to the prescribed method until the sample is significantly lighter than the color of the standard swatch. Regardless of the darker, suspicious or matching color, the Saybolt color number corresponding to the last liquid column height of the sample is reported. The determination of the color of petroleum products is mainly used in the control process of oil production. Because color is an important quality characteristic of an oil, and one that is easily observed by the user of the product. In some cases, the color can reflect how refined the product is. Oils with a known color range that fall outside this range may be contaminated. However, it is also unreliable to identify the quality of a product by color alone. Therefore, it is not possible to arbitrarily judge the technical indicators of the oil by observing the color of the oil.
