The correct use of Hawk lead-acid power AGV battery can ensure the safe and reliable power supply of the system, and the battery can also reach the longest service life.
Pay special attention to the following items when using Hawk lead-acid power AGV battery:
1. New and old batteries cannot be mixed! The internal resistance of the new and old batteries is different. When used in combination, the single voltage of the new and old batteries is different, which is easy to accelerate the battery damage.
2. Prevent over-discharge of battery. When the battery discharge reaches the rated capacity or the voltage of 12V single battery has dropped to 10.8V, the discharge shall be stopped immediately. (Note: The power supply system must be equipped with low voltage protection for the battery. The protection voltage is 23V, which can extend the service life of the battery).
3. When the battery pack is used, especially when charging, there should be enough space between the battery cells to dissipate heat. The larger the battery capacity, the larger the gap. There should be a gap of at least 1 cm between the battery and the battery.
4. Select appropriate and high-quality charging equipment for charging. Overvoltage and over-current charging are not allowed. The charging ambient temperature should not be higher than 30 ℃. If the ambient temperature is too high, the fan should be used for forced cooling during charging.
5. After the battery pack is discharged and used, it should be charged within 24 hours. The battery should be fully charged before use each time. If the battery is not charged for a long time, the inner plate of the battery will be sulfated. This damage cannot be reversed. In serious cases, the current will not be fully charged, the capacity will drop, or even be completely scrapped.
6. Properly maintain the battery
The output voltage and current of the charging equipment shall be checked regularly with an accurate ammeter. The current and voltage settings of the charging equipment shall not be adjusted without the guidance of professional personnel to prevent misoperation.
The maintenance-free battery does not need to be maintained by adding acid and water. It does not need maintenance management. In order to ensure the good use of the battery, it is necessary to do some necessary maintenance work, such as:
6.1 When the battery is used or stored, it is strictly forbidden to connect the positive and negative poles of the battery with conductive objects to cause short circuit. The short circuit current of the battery is large, which can cause serious injury to human body.
6.2 The battery surface shall be kept clean and dry to prevent self-discharge or impurities from entering the battery.
6.3 The battery is charged before leaving the factory. Generally, the user can directly load it for use. If it has been stored for a long time (more than 2 months), it should be recharged before use.
6.4 If the battery is not used for a long time, it should be fully charged and then stored. If it is not used for more than 3 months, it should be recharged.
6.5 The battery should be stored in a ventilated, dry environment without acid mist, with a temperature of not more than 35 ℃ and a relative humidity of not more than 75%.
6.6 If the battery packaging is accidentally wetted by water during storage or transfer and transportation, the outer packaging should be removed immediately to prevent the water-wetted packaging box from becoming a conductor, causing battery discharge or burning battery terminals.
