The titanium rod filter, assembled with a powder sintered titanium filter element and a stainless steel filter housing, is a common combination of filter elements widely used in water treatment, chemical industry, petroleum, and natural gas industries. They effectively remove suspended particles, solid impurities, bacteria, and microorganisms, providing clean fluids and protecting the normal operation of downstream equipment.
Basic Information
Powder Sintered Titanium Filter Element: The powder sintered titanium filter element is made from specially treated titanium powder. It exhibits high corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, and mechanical strength, effectively filtering out tiny particles and impurities while maintaining a high filtration efficiency.
Stainless Steel Filter Housing: The stainless steel housing is made of stainless steel material and possesses excellent corrosion resistance and high-temperature resistance. The stainless steel housing is typically designed to be detachable, facilitating filter maintenance and replacement.
Assembly Process: During the assembly of the filter, the powder sintered titanium filter element is installed inside the stainless steel filter housing. Usually, there is a sealing device between the filter element and the housing, ensuring that the filtration medium can only pass through the filter element and not bypass it. Once assembled, the liquid or gas to be filtered can be introduced into the filter through suitable inlet and outlet interfaces, and the filtered fluid can be obtained from the outlet.

Chemical Industry: This type of filter can maintain the purity of the medium during chemical reactions, preventing impurities from entering the product or damaging the equipment.

Cleaning methods
After a certain period of usage, the titanium rod cartridge may experience partial blockage, resulting in reduced flow performance and increased pressure at the filter's front end. For instance, the pressure may rise from below 0.22MPa to above 0.3MPa. In such cases, it becomes necessary to clean the cartridge, and the following cleaning methods are typically employed:
For newly used cartridges, a common cleaning method involves backflushing with clear water and blowing with compressed air. This entails injecting clear water at a slightly higher pressure than the working pressure (e.g., 0.3MPa) to perform a reverse flushing cleaning process. The backwashing duration is typically around 1 to 3 minutes.
If the filtering effect remains unsatisfactory even after several backwashing cycles, a solution containing hydrochloric acid with a concentration of 5% or less, sulfuric acid with a concentration of 8% or less, or sodium hydroxide (NaOH) with a concentration of 10% or less can be used for room temperature soaking. After the soaking process, the cartridge should be thoroughly rinsed with water.
