Glucose (Chemical Formula C6H12O6) is one of the most widely distributed and most important monosaccharides in nature. It is a polyhydroxyaldehyde. Pure glucose is a colorless crystal, sweet but sweet less than sucrose (most people can not taste the sweet), soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol, insoluble in ether. Natural glucose aqueous solution to the right, it is “dextrose“.
