This medium is ultrasound gel (ultrasound coupling gel/ultrasound transmission gel/ ultrasonic couplant).
Because the frequency of medical ultrasound is 2.5-5M, it cannot be conducted in the air. If there is air in the probe and the skin, the ultrasound will return as soon as it encounters the air, and cannot enter the human body, so it cannot be used for inspection. To apply a layer of ultrasound coupling gel on the skin can eliminate the air between the probe and the skin.
It is composed of water-based polymer gel which is non-toxic and harmless to the human body, not easy to dry, not easy to rancidity, clear ultrasonic imaging, suitable viscosity, non-greasy, the probe is easy to slide, can wet the skin, eliminate the air on the skin surface, and has lubricating properties Good, easy to deploy; no corrosion and no damage to the ultrasonic probe.
