2. Terminal State Indicators3.1 Red LED(Power/SIM card state)
When the device is power-on, the red LED lights steadily. It will flash slowly if SIM card is not installed or abnormal.
3.2 Blue LED(GPS signal state)
The blue LED will flash if GPS is not positioned, and will light steadily once GPS has positioned.
3.3 Yellow/Orange LED(GSM signal state)
The yellow or orange LED lights steadily when the GSM signal is normal and will flash if the GSM signal is bad.
3. How to install4.1 Preparation before installing
4.1.1 Open package, check terminal type and all accessories are inside. Otherwise, contact your seller or dealer.
4.1.2 The terminal device needs a GSM SIM card which has GPRS service. Please contact and consult device seller for any question.
4.1.3 SIM installation
Step 1. Open the SIM Cover.
Step 2. Open the metal cover of SIM card slot. Put SIM card into SIM slot, close and tighten the slot cover. Show as below
picture.
4.1.4 Close back top cover. Connect the device to 12 ~ 80V power, and the red indicator should light steadily in a few seconds.
4.1.5 At last, fix and fasten the device in certain hidden place inside the car. Note: The SIM card must be placed in the right
direction.
The SIM card must enable GPRS service and not in arrearage.
4.2 How to choose the correct place to install.
This terminal device is positioning device based on GPS technology. You are suggested to install this device with the help of a professional technician.
Points for attention:1) To avoid finding or damaged by stealer, the terminal device should be put in a hidden place. Below places are suggested:
A. Insides cover board under the front windshield.
B. The hidden place around the front instrument panel (the cover is nonmetal.).
C. Insides cover board under the back windshield.
2) Avoid getting close to the engine and emissive sources, such as car reversing radar, anti-theft device, and other communication
terminals.
3)GSM antenna and GPS antenna are inside the device, please make sure GPS receiving antenna is the up-side, and there is no mental obstacle above the device.(The top cover with indicators is the upside.)
Note：The metallic insulation pasted on the windshield can block the GPS signal. So please consider installing the GPS terminal in other places in this case.
