Hawk PL series lead-acid batteries
The Hawk RPL series maintenance-free pure lead acid batteries are a new type of high-performance lead-acid batteries, particularly suitable for deep cycling and fast charging requirements, and more suitable for use in harsh environmental conditions such as high and low temperatures.
The thin plate pure lead HUADA HAWKERR PL series battery produced by Hock Power Supply uses ultra-high purity materials and modern manufacturing technology, is a new type of high-performance lead-acid battery, especially suitable for deep cycle and fast charging requirements, and more suitable for use in harsh environmental conditions such as high and low temperatures.
1. Operating temperature range
To achieve the longest service life and best performance, the optimal operating temperature for AGVsafe PL series batteries is+20 ℃ to+25 ℃. AGVsafe PL batteries can fully operate within the temperature range of -40 ℃ to+80 ℃.
2. Storage
Batteries should be properly stored outside of a clean, cool, and dry area. Due to the electrochemical reaction inside the battery, the battery will also lose capacity in an open circuit state. Due to the extremely high purity of the grid and electrolyte in the AGVsafe PL series battery pack, the self discharge rate is very low. But high temperatures can increase the self discharge of batteries and shorten their storage life.
Figure 1 shows the curve of storage time, open circuit voltage (OCV), and capacity state with temperature changes

The Hawk HAWKER PL series batteries have a high charging acceptance ability, and users can shorten the charging and fully charging time through fast charging methods, thereby shortening the interval between the battery's next operation and increasing the number of cycles of the battery within the same service life.
6.6 Data recording
Users must conduct daily data recording. The data to be recorded is as follows:
1) Number of cycles, depth of discharge per cycle (DOD)
2) The discharge and charging time of each cycle, as well as the amount of electricity discharged and charged (Ah)
3) Detailed data on the charging voltage/current curve for the last 50 cycles
4) Complete historical data of environmental temperature and battery surface temperature recorded regularly throughout the entire battery life
5) The date and time of each "event" occurrence ("event" refers to the start/stop of battery discharge, the start/stop of battery charging, the start and stop of generators or other power input devices, etc.)
7. Maintenance
In practical applications, users can usually develop maintenance plans based on on-site conditions, location, and manpower.
Below is a recommended maintenance plan.
● Every month (record all measurement data)
Measure the voltage of the battery pack. If necessary, adjust the float charging voltage to the correct value.
Every six months (record all measurement data)
Measure the voltage of the battery pack. If necessary, adjust the float charging voltage to the correct value.
Measure the voltage of a single battery. The fluctuation of individual battery voltage should be within 5% of the average voltage.
Check the surface of the battery for dust accumulation, loose connections, or corrosion. If necessary, isolate the battery pack/individual battery first, and then wipe it clean with a soft damp cloth. It is not allowed to use any solvent or cleaning powder to clean the battery.

8. Recycling and treatment
The Hawk HAWKER PL series batteries are recyclable. Scrapped batteries must be packaged and transported in accordance with current regulations and regulations. Scrapped batteries must be disposed of by a legitimate lead-acid battery recycling enterprise in accordance with national or regional laws.
