Structural DesignThe structural design of the VM series is optimised by the most advanced Finite Element Analysis (FEA) method in the market, and a large number of reinforcing bars are used to optimise the internal stress structure of the whole machine, ensuring the steeliness and thermal stability of the whole machine.
Structure Features
The base is wide and thick, and the column is box-type structure with good rigidity.
The spindle box is reinforced with ribs inside, and the contact length between the column and spindle box is reasonable to provide stable support for the spindle.
The three-axis guideway adopts the original precise linear guideway with high rigidity, low noise and low friction coefficient, which is suitable for high-speed and high-precision machining.
3-axis motor and precision high-speed ball screw direct drive and assembly, enhance rigidity and improve precision. Support high-speed displacement, saving up non-processing time.
Spindle can be selected according to the processing needs of the belt type or direct connection type high-speed spindle, no matter in the high-speed or low-speed milling and drilling, can maintain stable accuracy, cutting efficiency is greatly improved.
Bed, Column And Saddle
The bed, column, and saddle are composed of Meehanite HT300 grade cast iron, which includes very high dampening characteristics. The one piece bed casting and column are stress relieved to ensure machine geometry is maintained throughout the life. Wide spacing of the linear guideways ensures optimal support for the table and saddle in full travel of each axis. Heavily ribbed castings provide superior dampening for high speed machining and aggressive milling.
