Product Description

CDQ is a system where hot coke removed from coke ovens at a temperature of approximately 1,000°C is cooled and kept dry with inert gas and the resulting steam produced in a waste heat recovery boiler is used to generate electricity. As the sensible heat recovered by heat transfer in the cooling chamber is utilized as a heat source for steam generation, electricity generated by CDQ is clean, environmentally-friendly energy. In addition, compared to the conventional wet quenching type, CDQ brings about advantages such as the reduction of dust emissions and improvement of coke quality.
High Carbon 85% Ash13.5% Met Coke Powder/Coke Dry Quenching Coke dry quenching is relative to coke wet quenching, which is a coke quenching method using inert gas to cool the red coke. CDQ is the abbreviation of coke dry quenching.
CDQ can improve coke strength and reduce coke reactivity, it is beneficial to blast furnace operation, especially for coke used in large blast furnace with strict quality requirements. The advantages of CDQ are mainly to avoid corrosion of surrounding equipment and air pollution. The dust pollution during coke discharge is easy to control. Red coke can be placed in the quenching chamber, and most of the heat can be recovered for reuse.
