Product Description Fiberglass textured yarn (bulked yarn) is produced from two kinds of fibers with different shrinkage. First step, these fibers are blended into yarn. Then place yarn on steam or hot air or boiling water for heat treatment. At this moment, the high-shrinkage fiber located in the yarn center have a larger contraction. The low-shrinkage fibers, due to its less contraction, was extruded on the surface of the yarn loop, finally formed as fluffy, plump, flexible bulky yarn.
Performance index
The fiberglass bulked yarn generally appears to be soft, fluffy, flexible and even dyeing. It is expansion and mixing uniformity that serve as the basic indicators for bulked yarn and its raw material.
The expansion degree of the raw yarn after the heat and moisture treatment, is the main factor that determines the bulkiness, softness and elasticity of the fabric. It requires that expansion degree of the yarn should be above 22%, in the actual production, generally between 18% to 19.5%.
The expansion should be adjust in moderation, too much or too little expansion will lead to a series of problems about evenness, softness and bulkiness.
