PP/PE board sheet production line A PP/PE board sheet production line is specialized equipment used for manufacturing polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) boards. The production line typically consists of several main components:
Extruder: This can be a single-screw extruder or a conical twin-screw extruder, which is responsible for heating and melting plastic pellets and then extruding them.
Die Head: A coat-hanger die head, specially designed to ensure uniform material distribution and capable of adjusting the lip gap to control the thickness of the board.
Calibrating Device: Such as a three-roll calender, which is used to set the shape of the hot-extruded board, ensuring its flatness and surface quality.
Cooling System: Including cooling haul-off frames and chill rolls, working in conjunction with powerful standing fans or chilled water to help the board cool and solidify quickly.
Cutting Device: Used to trim the board to the required length, ensuring cutting accuracy and neatness.
Winder: For sheet products, an advanced torque motor-controlled winder is used to adjust speed and tension, achieving neatly wound sheets.
Auxiliary Equipment: Such as feeders, filters, and an automatic meter counter for setting the product length. The characteristics of these production lines include high output, high efficiency, precise temperature control (±1°C), and the ability to produce boards of varying thicknesses (0.5-30mm) .
