Polyoxyl Methylen (POM)
which is also commonly known as "acetal", can be divided into homo-polymers and co-polymers. Both types are in forms of crystal. POM is a hard material that is resistant to waring and creeps, and it also has a low friction coefficient and an attractive appearance. The homo-polymers are highly strong in terms of tension and curvature and are resistant to fatigue with a high degree of hardness. The co-polymers, which are thermally stable, are highly workable and resistant to heat. They are also very alkaline and stretchable.
Advantages:
1)No microporosity.

4) High thermal stability
5) Good electrical insulation properties
6) Very good sliding properties
7) High resistance to solvents
8) Very high resistance to stress cracks
Disadvantages :
1) Acid erosion
2) Weathering poor
3) Poor adhesion
4) Thermal decomposition and softening nearly stable
5) Limiting oxygen index for the smallest plastic, it is easier to burn
Application.
1) Gear wheels with small modulus,
2) cams,
3) heavily loaded bearings and rollers,
4) bearing and gears with small clearances,
5) valve seats,
6) snap fit assemblies,
7) dimensionally stable precision parts,
8) electrically insulating components.
Features:
1)Easy cutting, sawing, stamping, engraving, laser engraving, bending, and paste
2)Thickness is equal to or greater than 1.5mm, sculpture depth is not more than 0.3mm
3)Surface thickness is 0.3mm, bottom thickness is 1.2mm
4)The surface is frosted
