1. Introduction:
Non-gravity double shaft paddle mixer is used to mix dry bulk solids like powder, granules, fiber, and mix bulk solids with liquids (moistening + granulating coating) or pastes.
Double shaft paddle mixer is designed and engineered for intensive mixing of two different wet and dry materials, or blending liquids and sludges with dry solids. These raw materials include sticky clays, sludges, filter cakes, silty soil, sandy soils and other abrasives.
2. Working Principle:
Double shaft paddle mixer consists of two parallel shafts with blending paddles fixed at a pre-determined angle. Blending paddles agitate materials, then make the movement of materials reach the critical rotation speed and there it can throw the materials to the highest point of the parabola. The critical point is called non-gravity point or zero-gravity point. So we sometimes people call this double shaft paddle mixer as Double shaft non-gravity mixer, or zero-gravity mixer, weightless mixer.
Relative rotation of the mixing paddles results in higher mixing efficiency.
Double shaft paddle mixer promotes a homogeneous mix for different particle sizes and density of the materials.
