Single row tapered roller bearings are mainly used for radial loads and the condition of axial load n, Some tapered roller bearings with large tapered angles(22°~31°)
it is subject to axial load, radial combined load,generally used for pure axial loading. During installation and use process, it can be adjusted adjustable radial and axial clearance,Pre-interference mounting can also be used to increase bearing rigidity.The clearance of tapered roller bearing directly affects the performance of the bearing.When the clearance is too small, the temperature rise is higher.When the clearance is too large, the vibration increases, the rotation accuracy is difficult to guarantee .Single row tapered roller bearings are mostly used in automobile rear axle hub , spindle of large machine tool,high power reducer,conveyor roller, etc.
Double Row tapered roller bearings are mainly used to bear the action of radial and axial combined loads.Axial displacement in both directions of the shaft (or housing) can be limited,therefore, it can be used as bi-directional axial positioning bearing .TDO type of bearing's performance is similar to that of two single-row tapered roller bearings mounted back to back,but TDO's parts quantity is small, Installation and disassembly are also easier, and has good rigidity,Therefore, it is mostly used for the occasion of bearing alternating load.Such as reducer, coiler, etc.
Four-row tapered roller bearings are also widely used roller bearings,the bearing capacity of this structure is very large.It can bear both radial and axial combined loads which are mainly radial loads.The radial bearing capacity is 2.5~3.5 times of single row bearings,can bear a large radial load as well as axial load.Due to structural limitations, compared to four-row cylindrical roller bearings,
