Self-supporting Aerial Installation
The 2-288 fibers are positioned in PBT loose tube filled with gel. Tubes (and fillers) are stranded around the central strength member(Steel or FRP) to form the cable core. The cable core is filled with water blocking compound and armored with corrugated steel tape(CST). Stranded steel wires support as the messenger. Finally, a figure-8 PE outer jacket is extruded.
