High Speed Turbine Mixers are used for blending fluids and suspension of solids. The speed, size and number of turbines are custom designed for each application.
Sweep Mixers provide gentle mixing of low to medium viscosity products and are available in side only, bottom only, or full side and bottom sweep. This mixer custom designed for each application to suspend solids and/or enhance heat transfer.
Scrape Mixers are similar to sweep except that they are fitted with teflon blades that scrape the walls like a spatula. They are used where high viscosity products are subject to "burn on" and/or scraping the vessel wall is needed to maximize heat transfer.
Counter Rotating Mixers use both turbine and scrape mixers for applications where a great deal of mixing is required, but the product is shear sensitive. The scrape mixer operates on a solid shaft that runs through the turbine mixer's pipe shaft. Each mixer is driven by its own gear motor allowing speed and horsepower to be matched to the process requirement. The gear motors stack with the scrape motor on the bottom and the turbine motor on top.
The Universal Mixer is also equipped with a scrape and turbine mixer, but the two mixers are completely independent of each other with the scrape mixer shaft in the center and the turbine mixer offset between center and the tank sidewall. The universal mixer allows for blending large batches (up to 5000 gallons) of viscous products while minimizing air entrainment.
