Railway lock spikes, also known as dog spikes or anti-theft spikes, are specially designed fasteners used to secure rails to ties (or sleepers) in railway tracks. Rail dog spikes are usually made of steel, which is iron with added carbon. High carbon steel is most commonly used, with a carbon content of approximately 0.7–2.5%. In China, the raw material of the railroad dog spikes are Q235,35K,45#,etc.
