3.Characteristics: white powder, easily deliquescent white crystalline powder, relevant density is 0.9g/cm3, sublimate at 300ºC, melting point is 580-585ºC, vapour pressure is 133.3Pa (384ºC). When heating to higher temperature, the crystalline changes to amorphous vitreum, absorbing moisture when expose to the air. omitting heat and white smoke when soluble in water.

5.Function: P2O5 is mainly used as industry raw materials and reagent. Widely usedin pharmaceuticals, coating additive, dyeing auxiliary, antistat, coupling agent of organic titanate, phosphorus oxychloride, etc. Also used for producing high purity phosphoric acid, drying agent for gas and liquid, dehydrant for organic synthesis, and for the manufacturing of organophosphorus ester.

And omitting heat and smoke when soluble in water. Slightly corrosive to metals when affected with damp. Powder and fumes in the air are irritating to eyes and the respiratory tract. Particles in contactwith eye react vigorously and even a small amount may cause permanent burns. Contact with the skin will cause severe burns. Ingestion will damage the gastrointestinaltract. Corrosive to skin, mucous membranes and eyes.
