XK97/XK99 series steel rail milling machine is developed as per the demand of rail machining industry. The machine is specially designed for machining high carbon steel rail.
The main performance characteristics:
All fundamental big parts adopt resin sand mold quality casting iron. Gantry travel adopts double motor, double inspection and drive in sync. Auto clamping by spindle, 90° auto orientation. Hydraulic balance mechanism is adopted for ram, rolling block-inlaid steel guideway for load relieving is adopted for crossrail. Bed guideway for gantry travel adopts closed type hydrostatic guideway with multiple point pump for constant oil supply. ATC specialized for rail milling is adopted.
The machine is equipped with fully digital Siemens CNO system. The main drive adopts AC spindle motor. Drive of each axis adopts AC servo motor with related speed change and drive unit. X axis feeding axis adopts position encoder to realize half closed loop control. Y and Z feeding axis adopt optical scale to realize full closed loop control.

XK97 is mainly used in manufacturing of long rails. One or two gantries can be selected according to requirement. Two ram type milling heads are fitted on the movable cross-rail. Each gantry has 5 feed axes (table-X axis, boring and milling head-Y1/Y2 axisram-Z1/Z2 axis).3 axis simultaneous control can be realized.
