PP rod: English name Polypropylene, is a high polymer, monomer is propylene CH2=CH-CH3, through the addition of polymerization reaction to obtain Polypropylene, the chemical formula can be expressed as (C3H6) N, the structural formula can be expressed as [-CH2-CH(CH3)-] N.
PP rod is a semi-crystalline material. It is stiffer than PE and has a higher melting point. Since homopymer type PP is very brittle at temperatures above 0 ° C, many commercial PP materials are irregular copolymers with 1 to 4% ethylene or clamp copolymers with higher ethylene content. Copolymer type PP material has lower thermal distortion temperature (100℃), low transparency, low gloss, low rigidity, but has stronger impact strength. The strength of PP increased with increasing ethylene content. The Vicat softening temperature of PP is 150 ° C. Due to the high crystallinity, the surface stiffness and scratch resistance characteristics of this material are very good. PP does not have the problem of environmental stress cracking.
