Palm oil refinery plant is to get rid of the harmful impurities and needless substances in the crude palm oil, aims at improving the oil storage stability, flavor and color. There are mainly five steps of palm oil refinery machine: degumming, deacidification, decolorization, deodorization and fractionation.The palm oil refinery machine can be used to process other oil seeds of different capacities as well.
Types of palm oil refinery plant:
1.Batch type palm oil refinery machine,suitable for small capacity like 1-2-3-5-10TPD
2.Semi-continuous palm oil refinery machine,suitable for medium capacity like 10-50TPD
3.Full continuous palm oil refinery machine,suitable for large capacity above 30TPD
Main process of palm oil refinery plant:
1.Degumming: this is the most important section of palm oil refinery machine, adding the water (there is a little P-acid in water) to remove the gum.
2.Deacidification:using alkali like (NaOH) to neutralize FFA in crude palm oil, during this process of palm oil refinery plant,it will produce soap stock , then separating it from the oil.
3.Decolorization:because there is pigment in crude palm oil, the oil color is dark. In order to lighten oil color, we need to use the white clay to absorb the pigment away, then using vibrating filter to separate the waste clay. If you want to get light color oil, you need to add more white clay. the oil color can be controlled by clay amount.
4.Deodorization:general speaking , the crude oil smells not good, it will affect oil storage and price. So we usually use the direct steam to take odors. At the meanwhile, there is about 0.5% water content in refined oil, because the high temperature in the deodorization pot, dehydration is also finished. After that, the final oil will be refined once again through safety filter.
