Project Description
The desulfurization solution treatment in acid battery recovery system. Evaporation and crystallization process is adopted to recover by product from the waste lead-acid battery wastewater, to achieve purpose of recycling.
Currently, there are numerous types of waste batteries, mainly lithium-ion batteries, nickel-metal hydride batteries and nickel-cadmium batteries. In the waste battery recycling wastewater treatment, as the wastewater containing sulfate materials (nickel/cobalt/ manganese sulfate) in a wide range of varieties, the water quality is complex and difficult to treat. Evaporation and crystallization can be adopted for treatment of waste battery wastewater.
Process Technology
A triple-effect forced circulation evaporator is adopted to concentrate the desulfurization liquor which contains Cobaltous Sulfate to oversaturation. After concentration, the oversaturated liquor was delivered into a centrifuge to be solid-liquor separated, the filtered solids was discharged or recycled, and the mother liquor was returned to the evaporator system to be concentrated again.
Equipment Description
1 set of triple-effect forced circulation evaporator is adopted, which is able to meet the following demands:
1). The cobaltous sulfate solution is concentrated from over-saturation;
2). All components in the plant are well designed to ensure safety in production.
3). The forced circulation evaporator system can effectively prevent the blocking risk of heat exchange tubes caused by calcium chloride solution of high concentration, and can slow the formation of scaling on the heat exchange surface at the mean time, improve the heat transfer efficiency, increase the continuous operation time of equipment, and reduce the cleaning frequency;
4). The main configuration of the plant is as below:
a. One set of triple-effect forced circulation evaporator;
b. One set of centrifuge and mother returning system;
c. One set of heat recovery system recovering condensate water;
d. One set of PLC control system.
