Product DescriptionAT491 Water Vapor Permeability Tester is used to determine the water vapor permeability of plastic film or sheet by mass-reducing method. Working principle: the specific amount of distilled water is placed in the test dish and test specimen is mounted on the test dish, so the test cavity is separated to two parts. On conditions of a specified temperature and humidity difference between two parts, water vapor passes through test specimen from the lower part into the upper part and absorbed by the desiccant. The mass loss of distilled water in test dish is weighed to calculate the water vapor permeability of the test specimen.
