FRP pultruded profile is a composite material with unique characteristics making it useful in a wide variety of applications. Most rods are composed of polyester resin and fiberglass. These composites can be formed into practically any shape by using pultrusion process. They are rigid, light weight, corrosion resistant and reliable.

Advantages
1. The relative density is between 1.5 and 2.0, only 1/4~1/5 of carbon steel, but the tensile strength is close to or even higher than that of carbon steel, and the specific strength can be compared with high-grade alloy steel.
2. FRP is a good anti-corrosive material with good resistance to atmospheric, water and general concentrations of acid, bases, salts and a variety of oils and solvents. It has been applied to all aspects of chemical corrosion protection and is replacing carbon steel, stainless steel, wood, non-ferrous metals and so on.
3.It is an excellent insulating material used to make insulators. Good dielectric properties at high frequencies. FRP has a low thermal conductivity, which is 1.25~1.67kJ(m.h.K) at room temperature, and only 1/100~1/1000 of metal. It is an excellent thermal insulation material.
4. According to the needs, we can flexibly design various structural products to meet the requirements of use, which can make the products have good integrity. The molding process can be flexibly selected according to the shape, technical requirements, use and quantity of the product.

Production Process
During the pultrusion process,the raw material are pulled through a heated steel forming die using a continuous pulling device. when the reinforcements are saturated with the resin mixture in the resin bath and the wetted reinforcement package is wrapped in a surfacing veil. the completed package then goes into a performer that roughly forms the package into the appropriate shape to enter the heated die for curing. the die is the exact shape of the final part desired. upon exiting the die, the part is over 90% cured and solid. the length of the part required is pulled through the cutoff saw and the process is complete.
