Our JCL290 LED insert runway centreline light is essential for enhancing the safety and efficiency of airfield operations, ensuring that aircraft can navigate the runway with precision and confidence.It is suitable for all types of airfields, from small regional airports to large international hubs, and is adaptable to various runway configurations and layouts.
Constructed with top-grade materials and cutting-edge LED technology, it delivers exceptional performance and longevity, even in challenging environmental conditions. The powerful LED Illumination is optimized for maximum visibility, offering a clear and distinct centreline reference for pilots as they navigate the airfield.
The fixture is 4.0mm above grade, meeting the FAA style 3 and ICAO style 4 protrusion requirements which specifies fixtures to be ≤6.3 mm. The low protrusion of the fixture helps prevent damage to the light during runway cleaning operations, especially in winter conditions. It also helps provide a better ride to the aircraft, by helping to reduce vibrations to the landing gear.
Installation and maintenance of the fixture are straightforward and cost-effective, making it a practical choice for airfield operators. The slim and low-profile design of the light minimizes interference with aircraft operations while providing a sleek and modern aesthetic for the airfield environment. With its energy-efficient LED technology, this light offers a sustainable and eco-friendly
solution that reduces energy consumption and maintenance costs.
To prevent silt, water or dust accumulating in front of the lens and effecting the photometric performance, no negative slope is present in the design.
Designed to meet the harsh environment the fixtures will operate in a temperature range of -55 °C to +55°C (-67 °F to +131°F) and has an ingress protection of IP68.

• Operates on the full range of 2.8A to 6.6A on CCRs that are designed in compliance with IEC or FAA requirements.
• Fully dimmable lights, replicating the response curve of traditional halogen lights.
• Full compatibility with existing airfield lighting series circuits.
• Installation on same mounting device as most conventional lights, for a straightforward replacement.
• Monitoring function of the individual light arrays for open circuit, short circuit, and over temperature.
•The LED light automatically disconnects from the secondary side of the isolation transformer,resulting in an open circuit condition.
