PEI definition: A class of polymers in which the aryl ether group is directly linked to the benzene ring of the aryl imide group and the repeating unit is structurally characterized by the ether group and the imide group. It is usually made of aromatic diphenol and dinitrodiimide monomer by nucleophilic substitution polymerization. It is a thermoplastic engineering plastic with excellent comprehensive performance.

Polyetherimide (PEI) is a super engineering plastic made of amorphous Polyetherimide. It has the best high temperature resistance, dimensional stability, chemical resistance, flame retardant, electrical resistance, high strength, high rigidity, etc. PEI resin can be widely used in high temperature resistant terminals. IC base, lighting equipment, FPCB (flexible circuit board), liquid conveying equipment, aircraft internal parts, medical equipment and household appliances, etc.

The processing technology
Drying treatment: PEI has hygroscopic properties and can cause material degradation. The humidity value should be less than 0.02%. The recommended drying condition is 150℃, 4 hours of drying treatment.
Melting temperature: 340 ~ 400℃ for ordinary materials; The reinforcement type material is 340 ~ 415℃.
Mold temperature: 107 ~ 175℃, recommended mold temperature is 140℃.
Injection pressure: 700 ~ 1500bar.
Injection speed: Use the highest injection speed possible. .
Range of application
Due to its excellent comprehensive balance performance, PEI is successfully applied to industrial sectors such as electronics, electrical machinery and aviation, and is used as a metal substitute material for traditional products and cultural daily articles. Replacing metal with PEI to manufacture fiber optic connectors optimizes the component structure, simplifies its manufacturing and assembly steps, and maintains more accurate dimensions. Used in the automotive field, such as for the manufacture of high temperature connectors, high power lights and indicator lights, sensors to control the external temperature of the car cabin (air conditioning temperature sensor) and sensors to control the temperature of the air and fuel mixture (effective combustion temperature sensor). It can also be used as a vacuum pump impeller that is resistant to high temperature lubricating oil erosion, a grinding glass joint (acceptance port) of the distillation device operating at 180 ° C, and a mirror for non-illuminated anti-fog lamps
