Desiccated coconut is rich in healthy saturated fats with no cholesterol and is also a good source of dietary fiber. Lauric acid, the major fatty acid from the fat of the coconut. It's been recognized for its unique properties in food use, which are related to its antiviral, antibacterial, and antiprotozoal functions. It's widely used in baking like bread, cake, ice cream, moon cake etc.
