UHMW-PE Marine Fender Face Pad
Ultra-high-molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE) Sliding Plates are typically made from double sintered Polyethylene (a blend of reclaimed and virgin material). 100% virgin material is also available. The superior physical and mechanical properties result in highest strength with wear resistance and consequently provides the best durabilty of all available Polyethylene products. The manufacturing process limits the cross-sections and plate dimensions.
Typically UHMW-PE Sliding Fenders are available in thicknesses from 2 mm to 200 mm for regenerated material and 2 mm to 400 mm for virgin material.
