As temperatures plummet, rubber and plastic parts undergo hardening, becoming brittle and crystallized, thereby losing their natural flexibility. At this brittle point, they are prone to breaking when subjected to external forces. Due to their thinner structure, the flash on molded products becomes brittle more quickly at low temperatures. The cryogenic deflashing machine capitalizes on this principle. It operates during the critical period when the flash is brittle, yet the main products, remain flexible. High-speed projection of specialized plastic media efficiently strikes and removes the brittle flash, ensuring the product remains undamaged.
