Tilting Drum Concrete Mixer
During mixing, it is very important to tilt the drum. And the raw material feeding process is suggested as follows:
Put in the water and sand first to clean off the remains of the last mix. Add the cement and turn the drum about 4 turns. The water/sand/cement mixture should be smooth and flowing evenly. Turn the drum until the color of the mix is even.
Put in the stone and turn the drum about 8 turns. Don't go too fast, let the mix fall through the mixing arms. Going fast does not make a better mix. The drum axis usually stays at an angle of about 15 degrees from horizontal during mixing.
