Use of the UKCA flag rule 1. UKCA logo before 1 January of the 2023 date, the UKCA logo can be attached to product labels or accompanying documents for most products (except those subject to special rules) . From 1 January of the 2023, in most cases the UKCA logo must be attached directly to the product. So companies should start preparing for this. 1. UKCA rules: 1. The UKCA logo may only be affixed to the product by the manufacturer or its authorized UK representative (as permitted by law) . 2. When the UKCA logo is affixed, the manufacturer assumes full responsibility for compliance with the relevant regulations. 3. Only the UKCA mark can be used to prove that the product complies with the relevant UK law 4. Do not provide any mark or mark to a third party that may misunderstand the meaning or form of the UKCA Mark 5. No other mark shall be affixed to the product that affects the visibility, readability or meaning of the UKCA Mark 6. Unless expressly required by law, the UKCA mark shall not be affixed to the product. 2. The manufacturer shall ensure that: 1. If the size of the logo is reduced or increased, the relevant ratio of the letters of the UKCA logo shall be followed. 2. The UKCA mark shall be at least 5 mm in height, unless a different minimum size of 3.5 mm is specified in the relevant regulations. UK DOC the UK DOC is a document that must be drafted for most products that comply with the UKCA mark. In the document, the manufacturer or its authorized UK representative (where permitted by law) shall: 1. DECLARE compliance with relevant statutory requirements applicable to specific products 2. Ensure that the name and address of the manufacturer (or an authorized UK representative) and information about the product and conformity assessment body (if relevant) are on the document and that the manufacturer is required to provide the UK DOC to the market regulator. The information required for a declaration of conformity will be essentially the same as that required for the current EU declaration of Conformity and may vary depending on the applicable legislation, but should normally include: 3. Name and detailed business address of the manufacturer or its authorized representative 4. Product serial number, model number or model identification 5. Statement (full responsibility for product compliance)6. Details of the authority (if applicable) that will carry out the conformity assessment procedure 7. Product Compliance Regulations 8.
