Product Description

Tech Grade, Food Grade, Pharma Grade pharmaceutical chemical Benzoic Acid 1. Physical Properties
Benzoic acid is in white flake, crystal, or powder. It has a mild benzoic or benzyl aldehyde odor. It begins to sublimate at 100ºC.
It's hard to dissolve in water but soluble in boiling water, alcohol, chloroform and ether. Benzoic acid is stable in air.
2.Uses
[1] used as antiseptic and antimicroorganism in medical and food industries;
[2] it is used as plasticizer in organic chemical industries.
[3] Mainly used as a food preservative,1g/kg used in soy sauce, vinegar, fruit juice, jam, fruit syrup, can; 0.8g/kg used in grape wine, fruit wine and soft agarose; 0.4g/kg used in fruit soda water; 0.5g/kg used in low-salt paste, flour paste, candied fruit, haw jelly cake and fruit syrup; 2g/kg used in condensed fruit juice.
