This is cast iron lid, we have brass lid for your choose too.
Handle:
The handle with rope, prevent scald.
Strainer:
Strainer material is food grade SS304.It's harmless to human.It's easy to place and take out tea.

4. How to use the cast iron teapot.How to use cast iron teapot when you get a new one.1). CleaningClean it with frash water then boiling water 2-3 times with it. Rinse inner and outer surface with a brush with water.Then this cast iron teapot is cleaned well.2). Adding waterWater capacity should be less than 70% of teapot capacity. Otherwise it's easy over flow.3). The time it takes for water boiling1200ml: about 6 minutes1800ml: about 10 minutesPlease dry it after using.1. You could dry it with towel.2. Or you could put it on the warmer, residue hot will dry it.Tips: please dry the top edges of teapot and the edge of lid.
