Tps54202 is a 2A synchronous step-down converter with an input voltage range of 4.5V to 28V. The device includes two integrated switching field effect transistors (FETs) and has the functions of internal loop compensation and 5ms internal soft start, which can reduce the number of components.
By integrating MOSFET and using SOT-23 package, tps54202 obtains high power density and occupies a large proportion on printed circuit board (PCB)
Very small space. Advanced eco mode implementation maximizes light load efficiency and reduces power loss. The introduction of spread spectrum operation can improve EMI performance.
The cycle by cycle current limiting function on the high side MOSFET protects the converter under overload conditions and is enhanced by the freewheeling current limiting function of the low side MOSFET to prevent current runaway. When the overcurrent duration exceeds the preset time, the hiccup mode protection function will be triggered.
