5-shelf standing shelf unit has a steel rack and shelves made of particle board to support a 500 lb. per shelf capacity and to support a 2500 lb. total capacity when the weight is distributed evenly across all shelves. The corner post tab slots on this unit are punched at 1-1/2 in. intervals for precise installation of shelves at desired heights. The steel rack has a gray enamel finish to resist corrosion. The posts on this unit have a 2-piece design so it can be assembled vertically to create one 72 in. x 36 in. x 18 in. (H x W x D) unit, or assembled horizontally to create one 36 in. x 36 in. x 18 in. unit with 2 shelves and one 36 in. x 36 in. x 18 in. unit with 3 shelves.

This shelf unit has a tab and slot design for boltless assembly. Assembly instructions are included. A rubber mallet (sold separately) and small screwdriver (sold separately) are recommended for assembly. A:Of course, please read the load capacity of the relevant product carefully before use to avoid damage.Q: Do I have to have a shelf at the bottom?
A: If you choose not to have a bottom shelf, we recommend that you support the posts with 3 or 4 hanger rails along the depth and width of the bottom. Installing triangle footplates and/or post wall brackets can also help to stabilize a unit without a bottom shelf.
Q: Can I add another shelf to my wire shelving unit?A: Yes, you can add as many shelves as you can fit on the posts. Just make sure you will have enough vertical space for the items you wish to store. We carry individual shelves (complete with shelf clips) that you can add to your shelving unit.
Q: How do I purchase a wire shelving kit that is a different size than what you offer?
