Open-ended timing belt, also known as continuous belt without joint, because of its unique design, which can be cut to any length, greatly improving the flexibility of application. Compared with the traditional transmission belt , the open-ended synchronous belt does not need lubrication during the transmission process, reducing energy consumption and noise, and its high-precision tooth design ensures synchronization and accuracy.
Open-ended toothed belt has a variety of joint methods, likely hot melt finger joint, cold adhesive joint, mechanical joints and etc. The choice of the joint depends on the specific application scenario, load requirements and environmental conditions. For low load or easy maintenance applications, mechanical or bonded joints are more practical, while for high load or high precision systems, hot melt finger spliced and seamless molded are ideal.
