Small maize harvesters are agricultural machinery specially designed for use in small-scale maize growing areas, and their main function is to carry out harvesting operations when the maize is ripe, including plucking, peeling and straw handling. These harvesters are usually small in size and flexible in operation, and are suitable for use in small plots and complex terrain.
The small corn harvester removes the corn cobs from the plant by means of an ear picking device, followed by removal of the corn husk by means of a peeling device, after which the cobs or peeled corn kernels are delivered to a collection box by means of a conveyor system. Meanwhile, the straw handling device chops or collects the corn stalks for subsequent processing. The whole process is highly automated, greatly improving the harvesting efficiency.
