The tps54428 is an adaptive on time d-cap2 ™ Mode Synchronous Buck converter.
Tps54428 can help system designers complete the set of power bus regulators for a variety of terminal devices through a cost-effective, low number of components and low standby current solution.
The main control loop of tps54428 adopts d-cap2 ™ Mode control can realize fast transient response without external compensation components.
Adaptive on time control supports pulse width modulation (PWM) mode under high load and eco mode under light load ™ Seamless transition between runs. Eco-mode ™ This enables the tps54428 to maintain high efficiency under light load conditions.
Tps54428 is a proprietary circuit that enables the device to use low equivalent series resistance (ESR) output capacitors such as polymer organic semiconductor solid capacitor (poscap) or polymer polymer capacitor (sp-cap), as well as ultra-low ESR ceramic capacitors. The operating input voltage of the device is between 4.5V and 18V VIN input.
The output voltage can be set in the range of 0.76v to 7.0v. The device also features an adjustable soft start time.
The tps54428 is packaged in 8-pin DDA and 10 pin DRC and is designed to operate in the ambient temperature range of - 40 ° C to 85 ° C.
