Working principle of friction winch:

Working process:

2. Rise: When the rope is tautted through the external device, the winch will be drawn and the friction winch will begin to rise. The brake applies friction to prevent the rotation of the winch wheel, and the tightness of the brake can be controlled manually or automatically.
3. Brake: When it is necessary to stop the rotation of the winch, the brake will generate friction to stop the rotation of the winch wheel and the winding of the rope. The brake usually consists of a friction plate and a pressure device, which regulates the friction of the brake by increasing or decreasing the pressure. The friction winch controls the movement of the lifting weight by adjusting the friction force of the brake and the retraction of the rope.
