HDPE continues to be the workhorse of the packaging industry. This material is compatible with a very wide range of products, economical, impact resistant, and provides a good moisture barrier. HDPE is naturally translucent and flexible. The addition of color will make HDPE opaque although not glossy. While HDPE provides good protection at below freezing temperatures, it should not be used with products filled at over 140 .
