HDPE continues to be the workhorse of the packaging industry. This material is compatible with a very wide range of products, economical, impact resistant, and provides a good moisture barrier. HDPE continues to grow each year in packaging applications and can be found in many personal care products, chemicals, automotive, pharmaceutical, food, medical and industrial applications.
HDPE is naturally translucent and flexible. The addition of color will make HDPE opaque although not glossy. While HDPE provides good protection at below freezing temperatures, it should not be used with products filled at over 140 .
HDPE is one of the largest and ever increasing types of volume plastics recycled because of its high re-use value to industry and our environment. It also lends itself readily to easy silkscreening for commercial applications.
