Product Description
Thickening or dewatering may be defined as the removal of a portion of the liquid from a pulp or slime made up of a mixture of finely divided solids and liquids. It is mainly used for the concentration of concentrates and dewatering of tailings in ore dressing plants.
Features:(1) Adding flocculants increases the particle size of settling solid particles, thereby accelerating the settling speed;
(2) Install inclined plates to shorten the settling distance of ore particles and increase the settling area;
(3) Give play to the role of flocculation, filtration, compression and improving the treatment capacity of the mud sediment dense phase layer;
(4) Equipped with complete automatic control facilities.

Application
Thickeners are important and widely used for mineral processing to make concentrate from ROM (raw ore) . Specifically, thickeners are used to increase the solid content of concentrate slurry (concentrate + process water) so that we can effectively deliver the concentrated slurry and re-use the process water.
Working Principle
The thickener is mainly composed of round concentration basin and rake scraper. the solid particles hanging in the thickener fall down with the function of gravity, the pulp in the upper turn into clean water, so that the separation can be realized. The slurry deposited on the bottom of the concentration basin is discharged by the rake scraper to central discharging continuously, and the clean water will overflow along the upper edge of the concentration basin.
